Click here Dr. Candace Nykiforuk Awarded a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Community Environments and Public Policy for WellbeingDr. Candace Nykiforuk, Scientific Director of the Centre for Healthy Communities, was recently awarded a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Community Environments and Public Policy for Wellbeing until 2030. Part of this appointment will allow Dr. Nykiforuk to expand on work completed by the Centre for Healthy Communities that included the development of the Action-Oriented Public Health Framework on Financial Wellbeing & Financial Strain along with the Guidebook of Strategies and Indicators for Action on Financial Wellbeing & Financial Strain. Specifically, Dr. Nykiforuk will be looking to understand the relationship between financial wellbeing and health to help guide advocacy and public policy to improve overall financial wellbeing for all Canadians.
